FACTORY ENGINEER
Production/Process Engineer – Paint Plant
Primary Responsibilities
The paint plant engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, quality control, industrial safety, and the continuous improvement of operations related to the production of paints, coatings, and related chemical products.
Key Responsibilities
· Optimize production parameters to improve quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
· Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
· Analyze technical issues in production and propose corrective solutions.
· Collaborate with laboratory, maintenance, quality, and logistics teams.
· Inspect raw materials and finished products according to technical specifications.
· Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare technical reports.
· Participate in internal audits and regulatory inspections.
· Train production staff on best operational and safety practices.
· Oversee the maintenance and improvement of industrial equipment.
· Manage continuous improvement and loss reduction projects.
Required Skills
· Strong knowledge of chemical and industrial processes.
· Proficiency with production and quality control equipment.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Project management and continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma is a plus).
· Skills in industrial IT and technical software.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
· Active participation in operations and hands-on resolution of technical issues on the shop floor.
Education and Experience
· Degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, process engineering, or mechanical engineering.
· Experience in the chemical, paint, or coatings industry (preferred).
· Knowledge of regulations governing chemicals and hazardous materials.
